We designed and built a bespoke Storyline programme for Signal Coaching Academy, translating specialist stress-management and wellbeing content into a structured, interactive learner journey.
Stress and wellbeing are topics many learners already recognise. The challenge was to make that familiarity useful: helping people notice patterns in their own experience, explore what keeps those patterns going and make realistic choices about what to do differently.
It wasn’t a simple content-to-slides conversion. The programme needed moments to explore, reflect, prioritise and plan, with a calm visual treatment that still felt unmistakably like Signal.
Models and guided exploration help learners see how stress appears and how responses can reinforce the cycle.
Prompts create space to connect the content with personal experience rather than treating wellbeing as abstract theory.
Activities require learners to make trade-offs instead of being given an unrealistic list of things to improve.
The programme brings those choices together into practical approaches learners can continue using after the course.
Learners sort wellbeing practices into what stays non-negotiable, what can be reduced but maintained, and what can be temporarily paused during demanding periods. The activity turns broad wellbeing advice into a concrete decision.
The habit-formation section asks learners to focus on three areas rather than fifteen. It is a small design decision with an important purpose: make the next step feel achievable.
An interactive model lets learners explore how different areas of wellbeing contribute to the bigger picture, helping move the conversation beyond a single habit or quick fix.
The finished programme combined instructional design, interaction design, visual treatment and Storyline production into one coherent experience.
Learning architecture
Structured a substantial body of specialist content into a clear multi-module learner journey.
Custom interactions
Built exploration, reflection, prioritisation and planning activities around what learners needed to think or do.
Visual design
Created a calm, cohesive visual language aligned with Signal’s brand and the subject matter.
Storyline and Vyond production
Produced and polished the full digital learning experience in Storyline 360, with Vyond used where animation supported the content.
Personalised learner document
Used custom JavaScript to pull learner responses from Storyline and generate a downloadable Stress Feedback Form and Action Plan, with selected answers already populated for the learner.
Use interaction where it improves the learning, not simply because the authoring tool makes interaction possible.
The design principle behind the Signal build
Start with the content, expertise or live training you already have. We can help shape the digital experience around it.
